Scvia - Stitch, Growth & Craft | Effective Date: April 27, 2026

At Scvia, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our hand-sewing stitch journal application.

By using Scvia, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

1

Third-Party AI (OpenRouter) Compliance

Scvia utilizes artificial intelligence services provided by OpenRouter to power stitch identification and technique evaluation features.

Data Transmission Scope: We only transmit non-personal, non-facial data necessary for AI functionality. This includes stitch photographs and related craft metadata. We clearly distinguish between personal data and non-personal data, ensuring only AI-function-required data is sent.

Third-Party Disclosure: OpenRouter is our designated AI service partner. We explicitly disclose this partnership to all users.

Prior User Authorization: Before any data transmission to OpenRouter, Scvia displays a clear popup notification explaining the data purpose, recipient identity (OpenRouter), and specific use case. We obtain your explicit, active consent before transmitting any data.

Third-Party Safeguards: OpenRouter maintains equivalent or higher data protection standards. OpenRouter processes data only for the agreed-upon temporary purpose and does not retain any user data. All data is destroyed immediately after processing is complete.

No App Storage: Scvia does not store any data transmitted to AI services on our servers or databases. Data exists only during the active processing period and is destroyed immediately upon completion.

2

Information Collection & Usage

We collect and process the following categories of information:

  • User-Uploaded Content: Photographs of your stitch work, craft notes, and journal entries that you voluntarily upload to create your personal stitch journal.
  • System-Authorized Data: Camera access (with your permission) to capture stitch photographs; Photo Library access (with your permission) to import existing images.
  • Device Information: Basic device metadata including device model, operating system version, and app version, collected automatically for service optimization and compatibility.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous interaction patterns and feature usage statistics to help us improve user experience.

Purpose of Collection: All collected data is used solely to provide and improve core app functionality—stitch documentation, AI-powered identification, skill tracking, and journal organization. We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, or data mining.

Collection Methods: Data is obtained through user主动 submission (uploads), permission-based system authorization (camera/photos), and passive automatic collection (device info).

3

Information Sharing & Third-Party Processing

Scvia shares data only with necessary service providers and under strict conditions:

  • Limited Sharing: We only share data with OpenRouter for AI processing purposes. No other third parties receive your data.
  • Temporary Processing: OpenRouter processes your data only during the active AI function execution. Data retention is strictly limited to the processing period.
  • No Data Retention: OpenRouter does not retain, store, or cache any user data after processing is complete. All data is destroyed immediately.
  • Security Compliance: All third-party data handling follows strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or data breaches.

Commitment: Scvia will never sell, rent, or illegally disclose your data to any party. We do not engage in data monetization or unauthorized data transfers.
